The must have for ice climbing

In addition to being extremely light, the GULLY 7,3 rope is also certified as twin rope . It has a very low impact force .Its technical features and exciting flashy colours make it the must have rope for ice climbing and mountaineering.

The GULLY 7,3 rope uses both UNICORE and GOLDEN DRY technology. The first one makes the core and the sheath of the rope integral. The second is a treatment against water and abrasion. The result: a light, fluid rope, but above all one that provides enhanced safety thanks to its extreme resistance to weather conditions and abrasion.

  • Golden Dry Cover

Beal Golden Dry is a special individual impregnation process for each strand of the core and sheath, performed before the final stage of rope production. During the impregnation process, a hydrophobic layer is formed on each strand, increasing resistance to abrasion, water penetration, and dirt entering the rope. Through this process, with impregnation of both the core and sheath, a rope of exceptional durability and resistance to water penetration is achieved. BEAL Golden Dry ropes fully comply with UIAA Water Repellent standards, achieving a water absorption level below 3%!

    Golden Dry

    Golden Dry benefits include:

    • exceptional protection against water penetration
    • very low weight increase in humid environments
    • protection against rope diameter increase (absorption, dirt penetration)
    • ease of belaying and reduced friction during movement through carabiners
    • increased abrasion resistance
    • resistance to snow and ice penetration
    • enhanced core protection against abrasion
  • Thermo Fluid

    Thermo Fluid
An infrared treatment which stabilises the sheath fibers and therefore makes yarns more homogeneous. The result is a more compact, better handling rope.
  • Unicore Process

    Unicore
An astonishing process, bonding rope sheath and core without affecting the rope’s suppleness. If the sheath is cut or torn, the core and sheath remain bonded together. With a standard rope, if the sheath is cut by abrasion over an edge, a frequent occurrence in the mountains, it slides and gathers over some metres. It then becomes impossible to pass this zone, whether ascending or descending.
